Statt eines Gürtels / Instead of a belt

You need a belt, if the pants slips.
But especially for kids it´s not easy to open and close a belt.
Here is the solution! No belt buckles anymore!
Simply, quickly made, practical and comfortable!
(Of course, not just for kids!)
instead of a belt 1 wesens-art.blogspot.com
Was man dafür braucht:

What you need:
velours-elastic or thick elastic
a piece of fabric
snaps

The length of the velours-elastic is measured at a matching pant.
instead of a belt 2 wesens-art.blogspot.com

Cut the fabric into a strip in the same length and about 3x as wide as the velours-elastic.
instead of a belt 3 wesens-art.blogspot.com

Sew the fabric in the width of the velours-elastic and cut out into 2 pieces.
instead of a belt 4 wesens-art.blogspot.com

Now put the ends of the velours-elastic into the open ends of the fabric stripes and sew with a zig-zag stitch.
instead of a belt 5 wesens-art.blogspot.com

Then install snaps on it (I used KamSnaps).
instead of a belt 6 wesens-art.blogspot.com
Und fertig! Ich hab gleich noch mehr gemacht...

And ready! I have made several...
instead of a belt 1 wesens-art.blogspot.com
Und so werden sie benutzt:
Einfach durch die Gürtelschlaufen ziehen und anknöpfen!

And so they are used:
Simply pull through belt loops and buttoning!
instead of a belt 7 wesens-art.blogspot.com
instead of a belt 8 wesens-art.blogspot.com

Now you don´t have to open a belt anymore, only the pants!

  7. Thank you for sharing your instructions! I've been thinking about making some for my grandsons, I just hadn't sat down long enough to get the idea solid in my brain as to how to do it.

Thank you for the English translations on your blog too! That is so nice of you!

  8. Very interesting idea. I'll have to give this a try. My middle boy has been potty trained for 6 months but will only wear elastic waist pants because the snap/belt combination makes him nervous. This may be the perfect solution!

  12. What an ingenious idea!! I am going to have to make some for my kiddos on the ones that don't have the adjustable waistband. So much easier than having to worry about them keeping track of a belt! Thanks for sharing! I'm a new follower! Have a wonderful week!!

  21. This is one of those "Why didn't I think of that" ideas. Totally brilliant! I could have used this when my son was little. I'm pinning this and passing it along to anyone I know with little ones. Thanks so much for sharing at Creative Thursday :)
