Statt eines Gürtels / Instead of a belt

You need a belt, if the pants slips.
But especially for kids it´s not easy to open and close a belt.
Here is the solution! No belt buckles anymore!
Simply, quickly made, practical and comfortable!
(Of course, not just for kids!)
instead of a belt 1
Was man dafür braucht:
Velours-Elastic-Bund oder Elastic-Bund
ein Stück Stoff

Die Länge des Velours-Elastik-Bunds am besten an einer passenden Hose abmessen.

What you need:
velours-elastic or thick elastic
a piece of fabric

The length of the velours-elastic is measured at a matching pant.
instead of a belt 2

Cut the fabric into a strip in the same length and about 3x as wide as the velours-elastic.
instead of a belt 3

Sew the fabric in the width of the velours-elastic and cut out into 2 pieces.
instead of a belt 4

Now put the ends of the velours-elastic into the open ends of the fabric stripes and sew with a zig-zag stitch.
instead of a belt 5

Then install snaps on it (I used KamSnaps).
instead of a belt 6
Und fertig! Ich hab gleich noch mehr gemacht...

And ready! I have made several...
instead of a belt 1
Und so werden sie benutzt:
Einfach durch die Gürtelschlaufen ziehen und anknöpfen!

And so they are used:
Simply pull through belt loops and buttoning!
instead of a belt 7
instead of a belt 8

Now you don´t have to open a belt anymore, only the pants!

    Thanks for sharing.

  4. Very good idea. Thanks for sharing with the newbie party.

  5. Great idea. Sometimes I just want that bulky belt buckle sticked out These will be perfect for that.

  6. Great idea! Buckles can be so tricky for kids.

  7. Thank you for sharing your instructions! I've been thinking about making some for my grandsons, I just hadn't sat down long enough to get the idea solid in my brain as to how to do it.

Thank you for the English translations on your blog too! That is so nice of you!

  8. Very interesting idea. I'll have to give this a try. My middle boy has been potty trained for 6 months but will only wear elastic waist pants because the snap/belt combination makes him nervous. This may be the perfect solution!

  9. This is a great idea! I bought something similar for my grown up pants :)

  10. Wow. A great idea for kids clothes that don't have the adjustable waistband.

  11. That is a super smart idea! I've never seen anything like it before. Thanks for sharing at Etcetorize this week!

  12. What an ingenious idea!! I am going to have to make some for my kiddos on the ones that don't have the adjustable waistband. So much easier than having to worry about them keeping track of a belt! Thanks for sharing! I'm a new follower! Have a wonderful week!!

  13. Great idea! I've gotta try this.

  16. What a great idea!! I love it. Thank you for sharing on Sharing Saturday!!

  17. This is a fabulous tutorial! Almost everyone I know has trouble with the waists in jeans.

Your project would be perfect to share at TUTORIALS TIPS AND TIDBITS, my new weekly linky party going on now! Come on over and join in!

  18. Great idea! Sehr gut englische! Besser als meine Deutsch.

  19. I'm so happy you linked up at Etcetorize last week. I like your project so much that I'm featuring it at tonight's party. I hope you'll stop by to grab a featured button from the sidebar and link up again~

  20. What a GREAT idea!!!

Thanks so much for sharing this at The DIY Dreamer.. From Dream To Reality!

  21. This is one of those "Why didn't I think of that" ideas. Totally brilliant! I could have used this when my son was little. I'm pinning this and passing it along to anyone I know with little ones. Thanks so much for sharing at Creative Thursday :)

  22. Another great idea. Thank you for linking this up too at our party at

BTW it would be really nice if you would link back to the party from within your article, or at the very list from your linky party page. Thank you so much doing so in advance.

Looking forward to your contributions again tomorrow, when a new party will open.

    Have a creative day,
    ~ Rose

  23. Awesome! I need to do this for my kids clothes my 2 year old's pants are ALWAYS falling down! lol
